From 16th – 18th February 2012, multitudes of regional and international coffee roasters, traders, producers, professionals and connoisseurs will descend upon Addis Ababa, Ethiopia for the 9th African Fine Coffee Conference & Exhibition that will be held at the United Nations Conference Centre (UNCC) – a state of the art center in the heart of the city.
Ethiopia is Africa’s largest coffee producer with highly sought after origin coffees. It is also the only producing country in Africa with a traditional coffee drinking culture. This tradition is reflected in the unique and attractive coffee ceremony, a daily ritual performed by women. In terms of proportion of production over consumption, Ethiopia is the biggest consumer of all African producing countries, by locally consuming close to half of what it produces.
The 9th AFCC & E in Addis Ababa Ethiopia will provide an excellent mix of regional and internationally acclaimed speakers presenting a wide range of coffee topics such as;
- Sustainability & Production
- Climate Change
- Trade & Finance
- Transport & Logistics
- Women in Coffee
The large exhibition area offers a wonderful opportunity to showcase the best coffees and affiliated services providing ample opportunity to network with coffee luminaries from all over the world. This will be the perfect platform for gathering valuable coffee information, building trade relations and buyer and seller interaction.
